Abstract: Early Childhood Education is one of the most complex phases of human development regarding the aspects of intellectual, emotional, social and motor development of the child. The general objective of this work is to understand the essentials of early childhood education when it comes to the child's general development, which must be based on education and affection. Affection accompanies the individual since birth and continues throughout his life, thus playing a very important role in all the subject's relationships, interfering with his entire development. The role of affectivity in Early Childhood Education would be like a source of energy or fuel that cognition would use for the functioning of child development. This work was carried out through a bibliographical research, in which scientific articles that meet the subject on the subject were used. Affection within the school environment was described, and its great importance in the relationship and in teaching-learning. When the child enters school, the role of affectivity in the teacher-student relationship becomes even more evident. All actions are mediated by the teacher's affectivity. The kindergarten teacher, in addition to imparting knowledge to their students, must contribute positively so that the child has, from an early age, an enthusiastic relationship with knowledge, the school and society.
